• More Character Depth: GTA IV, at least in my opinion takes this one. Niko’s journey explores complex themes such as the American Dream, loyalty, and the moral consequences of his actions. His character is layered with a tragic past and conflicting motivations, making him a compelling and relatable figure.

• Storyline: GTA IV is generally considered to have a more impactful and cohesive narrative than GTA V, largely due to its mature, grounded themes

Where GTA V feels superior:

• Open World Scale and Detail: The world of GTA V set in Los Santos and its surrounding countryside, is much larger and more detailed than GTA IV's Liberty City.

• Gameplay and mission Variety: GTA IV is often criticized for having repetitive missions and Rockstar definitely seems to have taken some positive feedback from it with the diverse missions both online and offline.

• GTA Online: One of GTA V's biggest draws is GTA Online, a multiplayer mode that has kept the game relevant long after its release. GTA Online offers continuous updates, new missions, competitive modes, events, and customization options, allowing players to build their criminal empire, own businesses, and participate in a wide range of activities with others worldwide.
